J. Darrell Kirkley

J. Darrell Kirkley is an artist at heart with many years of experience.
Art has played a daily role in Mr. Kirkley’s busy corporate schedule, creating 2D and 3D computer graphics and animation for the thousands of video productions he has produced and directed throughout his career.

Currently Mr. Kirkley is channeling his artistic capabilities into computer fine arts. With today’s technology, working with the Giclée on-canvas-medium, is like an open sky for his experience and creativity applied to this coming of age unique application.

Mr. Kirkley has studied under several noted artists over the past 35
Years. They include; Portrait artist Raymon Froman, Cloudcroft, New Mexico, East coast seascape artists Paul Stresic , landscape artist Henry Sheifke, still life artist Nina Belle White, and life drawing classes at Meadows School of Art, SMU.

Mr. Kirkley has received 34 awards in the past several years
from entering his work in the State Fair of Texas and other
area art shows. In 2004 he was honored with an Artist Showcase Award from Manhattan Art International, in New York City.

His painting “A Tribute to the Survivors of 9-11” was presented to New York City’s Mayor, Michael Bloomberg at Gracie Mansion in 2002, by the city of Dallas, Texas.
One year later, the City Council of Dallas, presented Mr. Kirkley with a Certificate of Accommodation for his generosity.

For the past 3 years, Mr. Kirkley has been selected by the 500, Inc. for his talents as one of 6 Judges for Art Fest.
An annual fund raising art show for the performing arts of Dallas.

Mr. Kirkley is the recipient of two U.S. Patents (1983) for his safety light invention for runners and joggers.

Mr. Kirkley is a proud 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason and serves as
Chaplain (2005-2007) of Highland Park Masonic Lodge.

Also writing poetry is one of his pastimes.
