Andrew Scott DeJesse

Andrew is a realist artist residing in Amarillo, Texas. He is also a Cultural Heritage Preservation Officer (Monuments Men) and a Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. Andrew has deployed to twice to Afghanistan and once to Iraq. His overseas experiences of working side-by-side with local peoples have greatly impacted the direction of his artistic work. Andrew’s work for the “Perspectives on War” exhibit reflect how the experiences of war stay with a veteran after returning home. The imagery and narrative explores the idea that the two worlds of home and overseas are inter-mingled. His works are held in numerous private and public collections.
