Caroline Crockett Kneese

Caroline Crockett Kneese was born and raised in Dallas, TX and is a 6th generation Dallas native on both sides of her family.  Kneese graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002 from Southern Methodist University, Dallas TX.  Immediately after graduating, she participated in gallery exhibitions around Dallas, created commissioned artworks, taught art classes to children, and interned at the Dallas Center for Contemporary Art.  In 2003, Kneese started working for Art Ability, which is an art consulting firm located in Dallas’ Design District.  She was manager and lead consultant there for 3 years before deciding to venture off and open her own art gallery.   Kneese opened Cerulean Gallery in University Park’s Snider Plaza in March 2006.  She exhibited over 75 artists in 33 exhibitions in addition to hosting dozens of private events and charity fundraisers.  In September 2009, her husband, Kyle, took a job as an in-house attorney at Pantex in Amarillo, TX.  Since their big move to the Panhandle, they had 2 children, Luke and Evelyn.   Kneese also continued paint as well as sell artwork by the artists she represented via Cerulean Gallery’s website.  Cerulean Gallery opened in Amarillo, TX on January 16, 2015.  In April 2016, Cerulean Gallery opened a second location inside the Canyon Exploration building in downtown Amarillo.
