Growing up on a ranch in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and being born completely colorblind, Mason has coupled his black & white view of the world with his appreciation for the oft-forgotten life of the cowboy to create his own unique type of art. From detailed and lifelike acrylics of horses and landscapes to life-sized bailing wire sculptures of various animals including lions, horses and the like, Mason has leveraged his experiential knowledge of and passion for ranch life to create unique visages on both canvas and with wire.
